Brynolphus Jonae Brisman, född i Brismene 19/6 1640 av kyrkoherden i Bredared Jonas
Brynolphi och Brita Eriksdotter; kom till Skara skola 1648; informator för överstelöjtnant
Drakenbergs son 1660; prästvigd 1663; pastor adj. i Fägra 1667. Stud. i Upsala 29/8 1668;
vistades där i 3 år; under tiden huspredikant hos Baron Karl Oxenstjerna. återvände till
hembygden 1670. komminister i Väring 1671; i Berg 1677; kyrkoherde därstädes 1687;
respondent vid prästmötet 1688. Död 9/2 1692 och jordfäst av biskop Spegel.
BIOGRAPHY: Brynolphus Jonae Brisman, born in Brismene June 19, 1640 to the vicar in
Bredared Jonas Brynolphi and Brita Eriksdotter; came to Skara school 1648; tutor for
lieutenant-colonel Drakenberg's son 1660; ordained priest 1663; assistant to pastor in
Fägra 1667. Student in Upsala Aug. 29, 1668; resided there 3 years; during that time
clergy at the estate of baron Karl Oxenstjerna. Returned to his native place 1670.
Asst. vicar in Väring 1671; in Berg 1677; vicar there 1687; defended his thesis at the
consistory (clerical meeting of the diocese every 7th year) 1688. Dead Febr. 9 1692;
funeral service led by bishop Spegel. BIOGRAPHY: Children: Jonas, see year 1696, a twin son to Jonas dead 1675; Jakob, see year 1701; Brita, married to Andreas Lugner, see year 1693; Johan see year 1708. BIOGRAPHY: B. requested to be a chaplain, but though he was "inculpatae vitae" he was not able to get that kind of service. The appointment to asst. vicar in Berg he received after he gave thoughts to the father- and motherless maid in Berg." 1687 he was called together with asst. vicar Jonas Katt in Böja to be examined before the diocese, to determine who would be the most worthy to be the next pastor in Berg, and "inasmuch as Mr. Bryngel both in preaching and in examination shown to be more thorough - though not enough- and given expectation of betterment in his studies," B. got the appointment. |
